This week, the Federal Reserve concluded its massive and unprecedented QE3 stimulus program. The above chart shows how the Fed’s money printing campaign has impacted the S&P 500 index, which is by all accounts, the most watched U.S. stock index around the world. Note that volume levels spiked and corrections began at the end of each of the two previous QE programs. Are we in for another sharp correction only to be “saved” by QE4? Time will tell.
